Senior Director
Emily Fleisher (she/her) is a Senior Director at Advance Collaborative specializing in individual giving, major gifts, board development, development assessments, feasibility studies, and campaigns. With expertise spanning the country, she has helped raise millions for clients with annual budgets ranging from $100K to $230M across arts and culture, environmental, social justice, education, community and economic development, advocacy, human rights, and food security sectors. Emily is known for combining hands-on partnership with strategic rigor, helping organizations strengthen fundraising infrastructure, deepen donor engagement, and build long-term capacity. She particularly enjoys translating insights and best practices across disciplines and organizational models to achieve practical, high-impact solutions.
Before joining Advance Collaborative, Emily spent more than a decade in development at Manhattan Theatre Club, including five years as Associate Director of Development. There, she partnered closely with board and staff leadership on major institutional priorities, including the launch of the organization’s $40 million 50th anniversary campaign. By the end of her tenure, Emily and her team were raising more than $6 million annually, including more than $1.3 million in major gifts each year. During that period, the MTC board welcomed more than 16 new members—half cultivated through individual giving channels—while major donor households increased by 112%.
Emily began her nonprofit career at Berkeley Repertory Theatre, where she spent five seasons in the Education and Marketing departments. She is a graduate of Trinity College and currently serves on the board of Theatre for Young Audiences USA. On weekends, Emily can usually be found running around Prospect Park—figuratively and literally—with her two moderately behaved children and one very naughty rescue pit bull.
