Gregory Keng Strasser (he/him), a Manager on Advance Collaborative’s Institutional Giving team, appreciates robust and vibrant social ecologies where arts and civic life are deeply intertwined. He believes in building cultural anchor institutions, ensuring resilient and healthy communities through resource sharing across sectors. Prior to Advance, Gregory served as a Grant Writer and Social Media Specialist at Elevate, a nonprofit development consulting firm where he improved and built grant programs for education, human services, arts & culture, workforce development, and advocacy nonprofits. He also served as an analyst and was a BIPOC Pathways to Consulting Fellow at AMS Planning & Research, where he led market studies, assisted on facility-building plans, and utilized environmental and internal data to help mission-driven organizations craft operating pro-formas for their future programming.
Outside of nonprofit consulting, Gregory held artistic leadership roles such as the Allen Lee Hughes Directing Fellow at Arena Stage and Producing Director for 4615 Theatre Company, where he directed and produced innovative theatre programs across the DC metropolitan region. He recently completed an artistic residency at Roundabout Theatre Company as a member of Directors Group #6.
Greg is a proud alumnus of the University of Michigan and enjoys connecting over Chinese dialects (especially Shanghainese), investigative journalism, and all things Beyonce.
